BUGC ended the semester with an assembly of fun!! We enjoyed various minute to win it games and snowball fights (dodgeball) against students, teachers, administration and even parents joined in the fun!!

Our 8th Grade Math students created a “Tessellated Christmas Tree”. Which means to cover a plane surface by repeated use of a single shape, without gaps or overlapping. Merry Math-mas!!

On Wednesday, members of the 7th and 8th Grade flute section performed for the residents at the Riverside Assisted Living. They were grateful to be able to spread holiday cheer to the community, and wishes everyone a very Happy Holiday season!

Mrs. Eastman’s class created Christmas Compliment Carriers in SEL this week to promote kindness. Each student decorated a stocking, and then wrote every classmate one kind compliment to send them into a positive winter break!

Congratulations to the following 8th grade girls for making the 2019-2020 8th Grade BUGC Volleyball Team. #'s: 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 18, 23, 30, 31, 32, 37, 60 The first scheduled practice is Thursday, Dec.12th, 2019 from 4:30-6:00 pm at Liberty Intermediate School. A parent meeting will follow at approximately 6:15 pm.

On the Friday before thanksgiving, Mrs. Eastman’s class spent some time interacting with each other through board games. This was a great time to see our SEL conversation skills come through!

BUGC 7th Grade Volleyball Tryout Information: The following 7th grade girls are being called back for the final tryout on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 from 3:00-4:30 pm at Liberty Intermediate School. (Transportation will be provided from BUGC to Liberty Intermediate School.) #'s: 2, 3, 4, 7, 11, 12, 15, 20, 21, 23, 27, 29, 31, 35, 36, 37, 39, 40, 44, 45, 46, 47, 51, 52, 53 Thank you to all those who tried out for the 2019-2020 BUGC 7th Grade Volleyball Team. All of the girls truly gave their best effort and made this an extremely tough decision to make.

Students in Fab Lab 2 designed and built Cardboard Art projects, in which they could re-create something in the real-world, and build it with cardboard. These students built a completely cardboard foosball game with a 3D printed ball. Another student recreated an actual warplane that flies further than you would think!

Mrs. Eastman had her childhood friend, TJ Martinson, come and talk to her students about the writing and publishing process for his debut novel, “Reign of the Kingfishher”. The kids LOVED having him come in!

Today the Upper Grade Center students welcomed over 80 Veterans and current service men and women to breakfast. It was just a small gesture to show our gratitude for their sacrifice and service!Thank you to all staff, students and volunteers who helped make this happen!

BUGC’s Homecoming game was a success!! 7th & 8th Grade teams won pretty easily with a fairly large crowd to cheer them on. Thanks to all staff members who helped host our BUGC family.
