Liberty CAMP T – Our W-F group of campers are due to return today at 2pm.  We initially had a procedure in place for students to be picked up at the bus garage.   As our staff is planning for a possible e-learning, if the government does shut down our district.  We are asking that parents pick up their students at Liberty, instead of the bus garage. This will allow students to come inside the building to get what they need to be able do their e-learning at home, if applicable.  (i.e. books, laptops, etc)  The camp buses will be curbside in front of the school at the main entrance as they arrive.  Students will go and get what they need, including their laptops.  Parents may utilize any available parking to come in and pick up their student.  Parents that have chaperoned and are parked at the parking garage, will be dropped off at the bus garage to get their car and then are asked to come to Liberty to get their child.  ALL CHILDREN ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF AT LIBERTY FIRST. We do need to do this quickly as school will be dismissing at 2:45pm and those procedures will start to take place. We do not allow children to go to the parking lot to look for their car.  Parents are welcome to come inside or wait at the main entrance to watch for their child leaving the building to walk them to the parking lot.  If you have any questions, please call Liberty 815-929-5000. We will update when the bus is on its way back to be sure the 2pm time is still a good time of arrival.

Liberty parents who have students going to camp next week - IMPORTANT! Drop off and Pick up procedures for Camp Tecumseh Due to construction and the lack of parking at Liberty, we are forced to make some changes to these procedures. Students need to be dropped off and chaperones need to arrive in the MPR(multi-purpose room) at Liberty by 8:00am. Procedures for chaperones and their student(s): The procedure for drop off is: 1. Parents will park at Liberty and then bring in all luggage to their table in the MPR as discussed in the chaperone meeting. (tables will be marked with the homeroom teacher) 2. Parents will bring their cars to the bus garage and will be shuttled back to Liberty. The bus garage is located southeast of the building. You can access the road to the bus garage by using the gravel road on the east side of the parking lot. Then travel south to the bus garage. Please park along the north side of the lot or the far east side of the lot. The procedure for pick up is: 1. Buses are due to return at 2pm. Buses will go directly to the bus garage where students and chaperones will be dropped off and can leave from there. Procedures for parents that are just dropping off and picking up their child who are attending Camp T: 1. Students are to have everything they need for camp. (Don't forget a sack lunch for when you arrive to camp on day 1) 2. Students will be bused to camp and are expected to return by 2pm. Updates will be made on Facebook, the web page, and through the BESD 53 app detailing the return time back at the bus garage. 3. Pick up for students will be at the bus garage and parents may leave from the bus garage to go home. It is not necessary to come back to Liberty. If you have any questions regarding this procedure, please feel free to call the Liberty office. Thank you!
