Liberty Intermediate's holiday spirit days!
The fourth grade team competed on Tuesday and they earned second place! They had to create a reindeer zipline, create a product and perform a commercial, solve a math mystery and work as a team. They were amazing!
The sixth graders took first place at the Team Steam Competition today!! There were 25 teams from throughout our region that competed. It was an intense day of engineering, being creative, completing math tasks, and working as a team. Both teams were incredible!
Congratulations to the sixth graders!

Liberty's food drive has started, this event will end December 14th.
Mrs. Rozak’s ELA classes enjoyed a morning at “Word Play Cafe”. Customers enjoyed the yummy book tasting, giving it a 5 Star Review! Students are ready to tackle the challenges of word play in their next novel, The Phantom Tollbooth!
We just finished the Books are Fun event at Liberty! Liberty students are taking 2000 books home today and tomorrow!. Just by hosting the event, every student was guaranteed at least one book to bring home! A BIG THANK YOU to our students' families and friends for their amazing support!
We were just made aware that Liberty, bus route 17, was just leaving the lot. There was an issue with drivers this morning and we believe this is the only route impacted.
Picture retakes at Liberty Intermediate will take place on Thursday November 9th.

Today, Liberty students and staff participated in two safety/emergency drills. We conducted a shelter-in-place(tornado) drill and an armed intruder drill. We use the ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) response technique and all of our staff is formally trained. Both drills fulfill part of our annual state required safety drills. School safety is a priority of ours and ensuring our preparedness is essential. Thank you to SRO Cox and Bourbonnais Police and Fire for your support during the drills.
To our students and families, great job completing your Book Blast Treasure Maps - enjoy your fun rewards! We will celebrate soon with all the books heading our way. Jump for joy and get ready for book delivery day! Contributions will be accepted through Sunday night.
