Girls Basketball Tryouts
I want to thank all of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls who participated in the past two days of girls basketball tryouts. I appreciate the effort, focus, and dedication each of you showed throughout the process.
Tryouts and making cuts are never easy. There are always difficult decisions to make, and I understand that not making a team can be disappointing. To those girls who were not selected, I want you to understand that this does not define you as a basketball player, nor does it mean your basketball career is over. Continue to work, continue to improve, and continue to find opportunities to play and develop your game. There is still plenty of basketball ahead of you.
Congratulations to the girls who were selected for the team. You earned this opportunity through your work and effort during tryouts. Now it is time to continue working, learn to play together, and build something as a team.
Our first practice will be Thursday from 3:00–4:30 PM. We will have a parent meeting immediately following practice at 4:30 PM @ BUGC.
Thank you again to every girl who came out and competed. Be proud of the effort you gave over these two days, and continue to work toward becoming the best basketball player and teammate you can be.
