Shabbona Elementary

At tonight’s school board meeting, the BESD #53 School Board unanimously voted to appoint Mrs. Jamie Freedlund to fill the vacant seat on the board. Her appointment will be from today until the next school board election. Our School Board previously established qualifications for the appointee in a careful and thoughtful manner. Mrs. Jamie Freedlund meets these qualifications and has demonstrated the willingness to accept the duties as well as the responsibilities of a school board member. Mrs. Jamie Freedlund’s previous experience demonstrates her clear understanding of the demands and expectations of being a board member along with her constructive attitude towards the challenge.
