BESD 53 Families, There is an Open House at the Exploration Station on Saturday, November 19 from 10 am - 2:00 pm.
Families can explore the new Feelings Exhibit at the museum and participate in hands-on activities focusing on social and emotional wellness and Theraplay. Harold the giraffe, the mascot of the Life Education Center, will also be there to meet the families!

The Kankakee County Health Department is hosting an Adolescent Wellness Visit Clinic on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, for Kankakee County adolescents (ages 11-21). This will be a comprehensive appointment to complete your adolescent’s school physical, immunizations, point-of-care testing, and/or additional screenings.

Due to a shortage of bus drivers this afternoon the Transportation Dept. will be making minor adjustments to a few of our routes. Some students may be on a different bus than their normal route and drop-off times may be affected approx. 10 minutes.
The Kankakee Health Department is hosting an Adolescent Wellness Visit Clinic on Saturday, October 1st, 2022. PLC is a type of school change that emphasizes the importance of trust, collaboration , and job embedded learning by educators in order to advance achievement of students. You can select/print the letter and application in either English or Spanish. Please bring the completed form to your school Open House or send with your child on the first day.
