Developmental Screenings

For children ages 3 and 4

**child must be age 3 or 4 on or before September 1st, 2025**

June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th

Screenings are by Appointment Only

Children will be screened in the development areas of:

Gross Motor and Fine Motor Skills, Cogntive and Language Skills, and Speech

Screening appointments are open for residents of Bourbonnais Elementary School District #53 only

Our PreK program is made up of half day and full day classrooms. Currently only students that are "at risk" as determined by the screening process are eligible for the program. Our program is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education's PreSchool for All Program.

Kankakee County also provides preschool through Headstart which is a federally funded program for families that lack access to financial resources. You can begin the application process by clicking this link and choosing English or Spanish in the upper right corner.

This programming is coordinated through Kankakee School District #111 but we do house two of the classrooms in BESD #53 to keep our children close to home.
