Hello Levasseur families! I’m incredibly honored to serve as the new Principal at Levasseur Elementary School. With a background in both special education and educational leadership, I’m deeply committed to ensuring that every child receives a high-quality education in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
After graduating from the University of Illinois, I began my teaching career through Teach For America, a non-profit organization. As part of this commitment, I moved to Milwaukee, where I taught special education for six years. During this time, I earned a master’s degree in both special education and educational leadership. It was shortly after the birth of my first daughter that our family decided it was time to move closer to home. Most recently, I spent the last six years serving as the Associate Principal at Liberty Intermediate School.
As a leader, I believe that when educators, families, and communities work together, we create powerful opportunities for students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
On a personal note, I’m a proud wife and mom to two amazing girls, Faith (7) and Piper (4). They’re my daily inspiration and a reminder of the importance of creating schools where all children feel known, valued, and empowered to succeed.
I’m thrilled to be joining the Levasseur family and can’t wait to get to know you and your children throughout the year!
