Welcome to the new BESD53 website!  As you can see, we've gone through several changes in an attempt to make it easier for parents and community members to find out information.  Our buttons above give you access to a variety of information...
 
  • Check out the Our District section for our various departments and general information.
  • Board of Education has links to our board meeting agendas, policies, and more.
  • Schools will take you to each of the schools websites for their specific information.
  • Student Activities contains links to the various extracurricular and athletic activities in the district.
  • For Families includes links to the Family Access Portal, lunch menus, district newsletters and other important documents.
  • And finally, Community Links are links to other organizations in the community that are not directly affiliated with BESD53.

  • New students for the 2013-2014 school year will be able to register

     Parents must bring proof of residency

     
    You will need to have a valid picture I.D., your child's county-issued birth certificate, and proofs of residency. To prove residency, you must have either your most recent tax bill, mortgage bill, or lease papers with proof of current payment. In addition to one of those items, you must also have two other RECENT documents showing your address. This can include utility bills, vehicle registration card, or a public aid card.

  • Skyward has announced a new app for mobile devices such as smartphones, iPods, and iPads. This app is available in both the iTunes store for Apple devices and the Google Play and Amazon stores for Android devices. 

    This app will allow parents mobile access to the Family Access portal to help keep track of grades, etc. The links below will take you to the app.
